Highly prized for her freedom in expression and exciting yet tasteful interpretations, one of the most distinctive personalities of the Polish early music scene, studied historical cellos in The Netherlands under the guidance of Viola de Hoog, specializing in solo and chamber music repertoire of the baroque, classical and romantic eras. During her studies she was a finalist of International Young Artist Presentations in Antwerp and beneficiary of the scholarship program of Fondazione Accademia Montis Regalis Onlus (Mondovi, IT), touring with its youth orchestra as a principal cellist.
Ever since then she travels the world as a member of several orchestras and chamber music formations, performing on historical instruments. Her present professional engagements include appearances with Capella Cracoviensis, where she performs as a soloist and guest principal cello, and where in 2016 she debuted in a role of a conductor. She is as well the first cellist at Ensemble Odyssee (NL), Ensemble Stile Galante (IT/NL) and Silva Rerum arte (PL), engaging in musical exchange with the most accomplished and influential musicians of the European Early Music scene. She also occasionally collaborates with Fabio Bonizzoni`s La Risonanza. She subsequently appears as a soloist in sonata as well as concerto repertoire and Bach cello suites. She forms duos with brilliant harpsichordists Patrycja Domagalska (PL) and Fabio Bonizzoni (IT). Agnieszka has recorded for Decca, Sony, Glossa, Alpha, Pan Classics and Globe and is preparing her first solo recording which will be published by Challenge Records in 2019.
In the summer 2018 she was invited teach cello and chamber music during the La Risonanza Barocca International Summer Academy. She will be there again in the summer of 2019.
In her spare time she loves to experiment in the kitchen and to get lost in the mountains.
